Ocugen, Inc., a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering, developing and commercializing a pipeline of innovative therapies that address rare and underserved eye diseases, today announced that an abstract describing the Phase 2 clinical study results for OCU310, the Company’s lead drug candidate for Dry Eye Disease (DED) has been accepted for a poster presentation at the 2018 Annual Meeting of The American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), taking place October 27-30, at McCormick Place in Chicago.
The poster will highlight the tolerability and preliminary efficacy results from a randomized Phase 2 proof-of-concept study in patients with DED. Based on these results and a completed End of Phase 2 meeting with the FDA, Ocugen initiated a Phase 3 clinical study for OCU310 at the end of the third quarter.
